Guild Practice
It has recently came to my attention that many players would like to have some sort of way to fight there guild mates. I think it would be great if anet could put in a practice area for guild members to fight each other. Like 1 vs. 1 and all the way up to 8 on 8 battles between guild members. Just for fun ya' know. This is the first thread i have made and if it is in the wrong area please tell me where it should be. Thnx. i look forward to seeing what everyone has to say.

Guild Vs Guild Beginner dissappointments
Well, we played some GvG . The first game we were pitted against a higher level group that knew what they were doing. We didn't last long, but we did have fun and it did take them a bit to get us down....10 minutes I think. The next game we were but against a group that was evenly ranked with us. They were as disorganized as we were thta first game, and during the beginning of this game till we figured out what we were doing. We played for quite a while, deaths on both sides, although, we did have an edge at the end. We were able to conquor this game, it did take a while, and we really enjoyed it. Upon going back to the guild hall, we decided to attempt it again. All hyped up and ready to remain standing. We went it with our hopes up, rank up slightly and a great attitude. We ended up against a group that had played before, and was better then we were. That didn't stop us....then we all died, we res'd and ran out to try again. We got defeated just outside our gate, and they continued in. They killed every member of our team, from guild thief to archer...and then they left the Guild Lord, then we res'd up...they imediately started to attempt to kill us off. We realized that they were going for faction points and started to rekill us instead of taking out our Guild Lord and sending us back to Guild Hall.....so instead of allowing them to continue to kill us over and over for faction, we opted a dissapointing defeat and left the game. We did not return to GvG. Instead we all felt used, inadaquate, inept, and totally defeated. I personnaly think that what they did was an exploit of the Faction/Baltazar feature. As well as taking advantage of a guild with less experience, the only thing that they succeeded in doing was making a inexperienced guild vs guild team decide that PvE is a much better place to be. There needs to be some evening out of groups pitted against groups of very similar status, not a novice guild put up agains pros, very unfair. How do they expect ppl to want to keep playing that? Something needs to be revised there I think. Very dissappointing in my opinion.

Wow, that was a real bummer....
I do support the need for GvG sparring within our guilds. I would like the cap raised to more than eight though.

I do agree with pantoma, i do think it is unfair when they pit very experienced guilds against little noob guilds. Very unfair. I dont know how anet would implement something where noob guilds can fight other noob guilds, and they can step up to fight better guilds when they get up in rank. Like the higher the guilds rank the higher the guild they are facing rank is. Maybe have a system where only guilds within 10 ranks of each other could fight each other. That way guilds slowly build up their rank, and skill. This would be a very welcome feature in my eyes.

Add random UNranked Guild Battles? no faction points, no points for win/loss, no points of any kind. This way guilds can have practice matches versus other guilds as much as they like and not gain or lose any points, until they are ready to take part in competition proper.

Very good idea, i like this alot. It would definitely be a good way for guilds to gain gvg experience. which alot of guilds need so they dont go out and get killed by guilds like The Valandor, and other top notch guilds.
